PITTSBURGH, PA (January 25, 2017) — Critically-acclaimed game developer Schell Games today announced its virtual reality (VR) secret agent escape-the-room puzzle game I Expect You To Die has been named a finalist in three award categories for the 20th D.I.C.E. Awards by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS). The award categories include Outstanding Achievement in Game Design, Immersive Reality Game of the Year and Immersive Reality Technical Achievement.
“I Expect You To Die started as an experiment, where we set out to explore and imagine in VR what it would be like if you were superhero faced with perilous situations in strange locales. What resulted was an incredibly fun and immersive secret agent game with mind-twisting challenges, adrenaline-fueled urgency and lots of humor,” explains Jesse Schell, CEO, Schell Games. “To have our work considered for multiple D.I.C.E. awards by the AIAS is a wonderful honor and very much appreciated.”
The winners will be announced at the 20th D.I.C.E. Awards ceremony on Thursday, February 23rd at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. The Awards show will be live streamed from 7:30 to 9:30 PM PST at https://live.interactive.org.
About I Expect You To Die

A special credits sequence at the beginning of the game readies players for upcoming missions and the dangers that lie ahead.
