Calling all hardworking agents in need of some relaxation...it is time for a vacation. Virtual reality (VR) game development company Schell Games today launched new content for its award-winning, escape-the-room puzzler I Expect You To Die. The new level titled ‘First Class’ will be free to all current and future players, and is available for the PlayStation®VR, Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive.

In ‘First Class,’ agents are whisked away on a luxury train for a little respite from their typical spy duties. This vacation will take them to Shimla, high in the mountains of India. On the way they will enjoy majestic views and first class service, while meeting interesting people and savoring exotic delicacies. Everything should go according to plan...or not.

In conjunction with the launch of this new content, the company is offering a week-long discount on the game on all platforms. The game retails for $24.99 USD, but will be on sale for $19.99 USD, a 20% reduction. This sale begins on October 24.

“I’m so glad we are able to offer fans new content for I Expect You To Die,” stated Jesse Schell, CEO of Schell Games. “They have been so supportive of the game. We really think they’ll enjoy this new free level, and their vacation experience should be unforgettable.”

In August 2017, the company announced I Expect You To Die had surpassed $1 million in revenue across all sales channels, including the Oculus Store, PlayStation® Store, Steam, and Amazon. The game joins a limited number of virtual reality titles who have reached this milestone.

Along with this new level, agents face four additional levels, including being confined inside their evil nemesis Dr. Zor’s car, trapped high on a window washing platform, submerged deep underwater in a submarine, and cornered inside a booby-trapped hunting lodge. Each level delivers a treacherous and immersive experience, along with plenty of humor and the occasional cigar. A special credits sequence at the beginning of the game readies players for upcoming missions and the dangers that lie ahead.

Created specifically for VR, I Expect You To Die has been capturing the attention of game enthusiasts and media worldwide. The game has been recognized time-and-time again as a stand-out experience for its fun escape-the-room mechanics, intuitive gameplay and environments, and the unique challenge it puts upon players to use their smarts to solve missions and survive the myriad ways to die in the game. Recently the game was awarded an Immersive Perspective Award in the Video Game - Headset category.

The new trailer for the ‘First Class’ update is available now.
