"Hot Water"

Objective 1

Turn the power on

It is so dark. There must be a switch somewhere.

Pull the lever on the generator to the left, next to the sliding door.


Objective 2

Survive the trap

Hint 1

Poison is filling the air! You need to protect your lungs.

Solution

Past the left side sliding doors, there is a scuba mask. Wear it to survive the poison.


Objective 3

Find the envelopes

Hint 1

There are envelopes around the room with important information. Is that one on the left of your desk?

Hint 2

The lockers next to the sliding door could hold important items.

Hint 3

Something could be hiding above the large machinery to your right.

Solution

Retrieve three envelopes from the desk, from inside the right-locker, and from above the machine to your right. Open them to get keycards and information.

Solution

Solution: Insert the keycard with the code

into the slot on the right side of the desk. The large machine on the right will power on, revealing the code BURN.

The experiment name is 4 letters long, could they be input somewhere?

Hint 2

It looks like the burnt materials talk about settings for the machine to your right.

Hint 3

Pipes could control PSI, how many of them are in the room?

Solution

Use the green transmission device on the desk to input the code BURN to receive materials. With these materials, you will adjust the machine to the following settings:

  • 950 degrees

  • 2s

  • PSI: turn the valves above your head, behind the chalkboard, and the wheel above the sliding door

Solution

Insert the keycard with the code

into the slot on the left side of the desk. The small machine on the left of the desk will power on, revealing the code BRIM..

Hint 1

This drawing looks like the vending machine to your right.

Hint 3

Is that a grenade?! Quick, get it out of this room!

Solution

Insert any coin into the vending machine and make a selection to drop a trap grenade. Toss it out the hatch in the room past the sliding doors to your left. Afterwards, click the top vending machine arrow twice, the second-from-top arrow twice, and the middle arrow twice. This reveals the shield generator.

This shield generator must fit somewhere.

Hint 2

These two images seem to be connected. How are they controlled?

Solution

Socket the shield generator into the small machine on the left of your desk. Adjust the amplitude, frequency, and phase of the red wave so that the blue and red waves forma double-helix. In other words, make the green line straight to have the two waves cancel each other out.

Discover the final experiment

A new punch card slot has opened. What could go in there? Maybe Ollie has something.

Hint 2

The symbols you’ve been working with match to letters. Do they appear on any other documents in the lab?

Hint 3

The chalkboard discusses another Zoraxis experiment

Hint 4

Ollie won’t give you anything without Zoraxis credentials, is there another way to earn his trust?

Hint 5

Using the green transmitter, request experiment KBOOM to retrieve the keycard for the final experiment. If you have not earned Ollie’s trust, send him a KinesiYum bar from the vending machine.


Objective 10

Solve the final experiment

Hint 1

That’s a large chunk of kinesium out there! How can you reach it?

Hint 2

Mines can be spawned from the center console. What can they do?

Hint 3

There should be a way to get to the outside from your station.

Solution

Your goal is to explode the large kinesium chunk with a small kinesium canister and the sea mines. Spawn mines at these positions, and launch a heated kinesium canister out of your desk slot to cause a chain reaction.

Solve the final experiment

Hint 1

That’s a large chunk of kinesium out there! How can you reach it?

Hint 2

Mines can be spawned from the center console. What can they do?

Solution

Your goal is to explode the large kinesium chunk with a small kinesium canister and the sea mines. Spawn mines at these positions, and launch a heated kinesium canister out of your desk slot to cause a chain reaction.


Objective 12

Survive the emergency

Hint 1

Fire fire fire! Everything is on fire!

Solution

Grab the fire extinguisher from the right side of the room and extinguish all the fires


Objective 13

Survive the assault

Hint 1

That squid is tearing up the lab! There must be some way to hit it outside.

Hint 2

Now it's inside, gross! Is it in the way of anything that could hurt it?

Hint 3

Not again, it won’t stop! Can Ollie help on a tentacle?

Solution

When the squid is attacking the lab, it can defeated as follows:

  • When a tentacle is inside on the left, close the door on its shackle

  • When a tentacle is inside on the right, call Ollie’s tube to close it on its shackle

  • When the squid is rupturing pipes far away, spawn sea mines and launch a kinesium canister to cause a chain reaction to its location.


Objective 14

Survive the water

Hint 1

That window is going to break, how will you breathe?

Hint 2

There’s one last shackle on the squid!

Solution

Put on the scuba mask to survive the water, and remove the squid’s forehead shackle and battery to defeat it. Remove the shield generator from the machine to your left to end the level.
